On Thursday (May 1), Bruce Springsteen unearthed another lost track that will be featured on his upcoming box set Tracks II: The Lost Albums. "Faithless" was written as the title track of a soundtrack for a film that was never complete.

ā€œFaithlessā€ was written as the title track of a soundtrack for a film that was never completed. Most of the material on the album was written and recorded after the ā€œDevils & Dustā€ tour wrapped up in November 2005 and before the release of ā€œWe Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessionsā€ in April 2006. Springsteen wrote the entire soundtrack to the "spiritual Western" film before production began. In addition to "Faithless," the shelved album also features four instrumental tracks.

ā€œThis was a really unusual collection of songs,ā€ Springsteen said of ā€œFaithlessā€ and the unreleased soundtrack in a press release. ā€œYou could recognize details and maybe a character or two. But for the most part, I just wrote atmospheric music that I thought would fit.ā€

"Faithless" follows the release of "Blind Spot" and "Rain in the River." The full soundtrack will be included on Tracks II: The Lost Albums, which is slated for a June 27 release. Listen to "Faithless" below.
